Mr. Parks had hoped that
the renderings would be ready for tonight's meeting, however, the
architect is putting together a three dimensional display of the
proposed project, and this should be ready shortly.
Attorney Parks also reported that the Jackson Street-Little Canada Road
property has never been surveyed. Engineer Carley is doing a survey
of the property, and that survey should also be ready shortly.
Parks further reported that he met with Mr. McNamara and Mr. Jacobson,
the owners of the property in question, to determine their selling price
for the property. Mr. McNamara informed Mr. Parks that they want to
sell two acres to the City and donate a third acre to the City which
would remain green area. Parks stated that he is not sure why they
want to donate the third acre to the City for this project, but it may
be that the property owners will get some sort of tax benefit by
donating this property.
Parks also told the Council that there may be slightly over three acres
of residential property that the City is considering for the senior
citizen development. If there is, Mr. Jacobson and Mr. McNamara want
the City to purchase whatever additional residential property there is
over the three acres.
Page -1-
