<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> (Cont'd.) <br /> March 12, 1980 <br /> Public Council has received a petition requesting the vacation of that <br /> hlearing portion of Boss Road lying North of Lahore Road. <br /> Vacation <br /> Of Portion Mr. DeBace introduced 'the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> Of boss Rd. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-3-122 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE <br /> VACATION OF THAT PORTION OF BOSS ROAD LYING NORTH OF LaBORF <br /> ROAD FOR APRIL 9, 1980 AT THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br /> Pyes (5) DeBace, Hanson, Scalze, Nadeau, Fahey. <br /> Hayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 79. <br /> McMenemy Councilman DeBace reported that all the easements have been received <br /> & to correct the drainage problems in the area o~P McMenemy and Morrison. <br /> Morrison The City has only to order the project. <br /> Mayor Hanson asked how the City was going to pay for the project? <br /> DeBace stated that in the past the City has put the costs of storm sewer <br /> projects on general taxes. Councilman Nadeau felt the people of the <br /> area should pay for the project. Councilwoman Scalze agreed. <br /> Fahey stated that he though the City told the people that the City <br /> would put the cost on general taxes. Fahey further stated, however, <br /> that he was not in favor of the cost going on general taxes. <br /> Attorney Parks stated that he thought there was no discussion on how <br /> the project would be paid for. Parks had the impression the people of <br /> the area expected to be assessed for it. <br /> Councilman DeBace stated that the Engineer should figure out what the <br /> cost would be to each property owner in the area. If the City should <br /> decide to assess the project, the Council would have to hold a public <br /> hearing. <br /> Councilman Nadeau suggested the matter be tabled until the next Council <br /> meeting when the Engineer is present to make his recommendations. <br /> Award The City recently called for bids for street sweeping in 1980. The lowest <br /> Street bid was submitted from American Sweeping Company in the amount of <br /> Sweeping $36.00 per hour. <br /> Bid <br /> Mr. DeBace introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-3-123 - AWARDING THE STREET SWEEPING <br /> 6ID TO AMERICAN SWEEPING COMPANY <br /> Page -19- <br /> <br />
