f4INUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> March 26, 1980 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the <br /> Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the <br /> 2.6th clay of March, 1980 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br /> located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br /> The Mayor, Mr. Raymond Hanson, chaired and called 'the meeting to <br /> order at 7:34 P.M. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br /> Councilman Mr. Robert DeBace <br /> Councilman Mr. Michael Fahey <br /> Councilman Mr. Roy Nadeau, Jr. <br /> Councilwoman Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Clerk Mr. Joseph Chlebeck <br /> City Attorney Mr. Clayton Parks <br /> City Planner Mr. Brad Nielson <br /> Recording Secretary Mrs. Kathleen Glanzer <br /> <br /> Senior Mrs. Helen Glassman, a member of the 55+ Club, appeared before the <br /> Citizen Council and submitted to the Council letters that were sent to the <br /> Housing residents of the Jackson Street-Little Canada Road area requesting <br /> their approval or disapproval of the senior citizen housing project <br /> being developed in their neighborhood. Mrs. Glassman reported that <br /> there were no negative replies received by the 55+ Club. <br /> Health Mayor Hanson stated that before Council discussed the subject of <br /> Inspector senior citizen housing, he wanted to introduce to the Council for. <br /> Carlos Espajo, who was recently appointed Health Inspector for the <br /> City for the year 1980. <br /> Mr. Espajo informed the Council that he resides on Stark Street and <br /> has been a resident of Little Canada for about one year. Mr. Espajo <br /> informed the Council that he has reviewed the City Code and has also <br /> contacted Ramsey County and the State Health Department for information <br /> that will help him in carrying out his duties of Health Inspector. <br /> Mr. Espajo stated that he would appreciate the opportunity to do whatever <br /> he can regarding any health problems that the Council might be aware of. <br /> The Council wished Mr. Espajo luck in carrying out his duties. <br /> Senior Mayor flans on reported that the senior citizens are requesting that the <br /> Citizen Council reconsider their non-support of the senior citizen housing <br /> (lousing development on the corner of Jackson and Little Canada Road. Johanna <br /> Gallagher sent a letter to the residents of the Jackson-Little Canada <br /> Road area asking the residents if they had any objections to the <br /> development going into their neighborhood. <br /> Page -1- <br /> <br />
