<br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> (Cont.) <br /> May 14, 1980 <br /> Spooner Councilwoman Scalze reported that the tennis court lighting for <br /> Park Spooner Park will cost approximately $5,600.00. The budgeted amount <br /> Tennis for this lighting is $9,000. The Park Commission will be getting a <br /> Court couple more bids. <br /> Lighting <br /> The Park Commission asked if it would be permissible to get a bid from <br /> Mr. McCumber. Council had no objection to Mr. McCumber bidding the <br /> project. <br /> Park Councilwoman Scalze reported that there is now a phone in the garage <br /> Report in Spooner Park. The Sheriff's Department recommended the installation <br /> of a phone for calling in complaints. <br /> Scalze also irrPormed the Council that there is no word on the fence <br /> in Spooner Park by the School District. <br /> Park Land Councilwoman Scalze reported that Council must pass a resolution setting <br /> Dedication the park land dedication fee for single family homeowners. The fee is <br /> Fee presently $100.00. There was some confusion with the Subdivision <br /> Ordinance and whether the fee had previously been raised to $300.00 <br /> or not. The Subdivision Ordinance reflects the fee to be set by <br /> Ordinance #161. Ordinance IP161 shows the fee to be $100.00. <br /> Councilman DeBace stated that he is opposed to the fee being increased <br /> to $300.00. <br /> Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-5-184 - SETTING THE FEE FOR A SINGLE <br /> FAMILY HOMEOWNER FOR PARK LAND DEDICATION FOR RESIDENTIAL <br /> DEVELOPMENT AT $300.00 PER UNIT FOR SINGLE FAMILY HOUSING, <br /> DUPLEXES AND TOWNHOUSES <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> F\yes (3) Fahey, Scalze, Nadeau. <br /> Nayes (2) DeBace, Hanson. <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 118. <br /> Recreation Councilwoman Scalze reported that there are 13 baseball teams and 13 <br /> Report softball teams made up of second through twelfth grades. 375 children <br /> are participating. The season begins on June 9. Swimming registration <br /> will be May 29 and June 9 from 6 to 8 P.M. The Rec Association <br /> Businessmen's fund Drive raised $2,400.00 and the Rec Association <br /> Smoker raised $1,800.00. <br /> Lawcon <br /> Inspection The City Clerk reported that there will be an inspection tomorrow <br /> to determine the City's eligibility for Lawcon grants. <br /> Page -16- <br /> <br />
