<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> June 11, 1980 <br /> The Engineer stated that the cleaning of the pond on the Hammond property <br /> was only a temporary solution and that the pond would probably have to be <br /> cleaned two or three times a year. <br /> The Engineer stated that the road would probably have to be raised in <br /> addition to the storm sewer in order to solve the problem. <br /> Fahey stated that he was not in favor of forcing water on the residents of <br /> County Road B-2 until such time as the City can determine how the cleaning <br /> of the pond and ditch will affect the problem. <br /> Mayor Flanson stated that the City cannot put the storm sewer. in without <br /> putting everything else in. <br /> Engineer Carley estimated the cost of watermain to be X20 per front foot, <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-6-211 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO <br /> PREPARE A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF COUNTY <br /> ROAD B-2 BY WATERMATN, STORM SEWER AND RESTORATION OF 'fIIE <br /> STREET TO A SUITABLE LEVEL <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr.. Hanson. <br /> Ayes (4) Scalze, Hanson, Nadeau, Fahey. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 135. <br /> Mrs. Nardini asked the Council how many people she would need on a petition <br /> to make the petition valid. The City Clerk informed Mrs. Nardini that <br /> she would need 3540 of the front footage affected. Mayor I-Janson informed <br /> Mrs. Nardini that if she came i.n with 354b of the front footage on the <br /> petition, that the Council would have to hold a public hearing on the <br /> improvement. <br /> Street Mr. Owen Wallin appeared before the Council requesting a street light <br /> Light be insta7.led for the intersection of County Road B-2 and Dianna Lane.. <br /> B-2 And Mr. Wallin informed the Council that that intersection is very dark at <br /> Dianna night. <br /> Lane <br /> Mr. Nadeau introduced 'the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-6-212 - INSTRUCTING TFIE CITY CLERK 70 <br /> WRITE A LETTER TO NORTfIERN STATES POWER RENUESTING A STREET <br /> LIGHT BE INSTALLED AT ThIE INTERSECTION OF COUNTY ROAD B-2 <br /> AND DIANNA LANE <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br /> Ayes (4) Nadeau, Fahey, Flanson, Scalze. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Bool< No. 69 Page 136. <br /> Page -10- <br /> <br />
