MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
June 11, 1980
Old Little Mayor Hanson asked Council if they wished to ask for an extension from
Canada the School District on their option on the purchase of the Old Little
School Canada School Building.
The City Clerk reported that he has not contacted the Historical Society
regarding if they still had an interest in the City's purchasing the
building.
Councilman Fahey stated that he was not interested in purchasing the
building for $250,000. $100,000 seemed more reasonable to Mr. Fahey
as a purchase price.
The Attorney informed the Council that by asking for an extension they
would be precluding the School District from finding a buyer for the
building. If the Council is fairly certain that they will not purchase
the building, why ask for an extension. The Attorney suggested that 'the
City inform the School District that it doesn't look goad, but in, the
meantime they will still consider purchasing the building. In that
way the School District could put the building on the market.
Mayor Hanson suggested that the Attorney draft a letter to Mr. Paul
Borg of the School District and express just what he stated. Parks
should make no reference to price, but just state that the $250,000
is too high.
Parks stated that he will draft a letter and let the Council review it
before he sends it to Mr. Borg.

Adjourning Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 80-6-233 - ADJOURNING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
ayes (4) Fahey, Scalze, Flanson, Nadeau.
Nayes (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 147.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:35 A.M.
Respectfully submitted,
athleen Glanzer
Recording Secretary
Page -22-
