<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> City Council <br /> June 11, 1980 <br /> Borg Mr. Paul Borg appeared before the Council requesting approval of the <br /> Property division of his property located on Jackson Street and County Road B-2. <br /> Division <br /> Mayor Hanson informed the Council that the portion of Jackson Street <br /> abutting the Borg property is presently an unimproved street. Hanson <br /> stated that at the time the back portion of this property would be <br /> developed, the City would require that the street be improved. <br /> The City Clerk informed the Council that the City has an easement <br /> along this property which extends to Viking Drive. <br /> Mr. Nanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-6-203 - APPROVING THE BORG PROPERTY <br /> DIVISION AS PRESENTED <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau. <br /> F~yes (4) Hanson, Nadeau, Scalze, Fahey. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 131. <br /> Cameron Mr. Richard Grekoff of Cameron Development appeared before the Council <br /> Development requesting approval of construction of a mini-storage development as <br /> Proposal Phase I of construction on County Road B and concept approval of <br /> Phase II and Phase III which is proposed as office warehousing. <br /> Councilman Fahey informed Council that the Planning Commission has <br /> recommended approval of the Cameron Development proposal provided that <br /> the Planner's suggestions are complied with. Mr. Grekoff stated that <br /> Cameron Development will comply with the Planner's suggestions. <br /> Mr. Grekoff informed the Council that the north 1/2 of the property will <br /> drain to the front of the mini-storage buildings and the back portion <br /> of the property vaould drain to the ponding area in the back. The whole <br /> property eventually drains into the State highway ditch area and then <br /> into Gervais Lake. <br /> Councilman Fahey suggested that the Council have the Engineer review <br /> the drainage plan for the area. Fahey also stated that the Council will <br /> have to determine any restrictions it wishes 'to make on the use of the <br /> land. <br /> Mr. Grekoff stated that at this time Council should call a public hearing <br /> to review the PUD. Grekoff stated that the land is presently zoned light <br /> industrial and the Comprehensive Plan is proposing BW zoning for the area. <br /> This zoning fits with Cameron Development's proposal. <br /> Councilwoman Scalze pointed out that the City of Maplewood should be <br /> sent these plans as they have requested the opportunity to review any <br /> .development that is adjacent to their City. <br /> Page -4- <br /> <br />
