<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> June 11, 1980 <br /> Mrs. Nardini, a resident of County Road B-2, stated that the. County is <br /> presently cleaning the ditch in front of her house. <br /> Mayor Hanson stated that the water coming into this area comes from all <br /> directions. <br /> Mrs. Reed, daughter of Mr. Hammond, stated that her father may be willing <br /> to grant easements so that a ditch could be dug along the eastern portion <br /> of the property. <br /> P1r. Folz stated that the lot would be filled so that the house would be <br /> up approximately four feet and the property would then slope off with <br /> a three to one slope. The lot is 200 feet deep and Mr. Folz estimated <br /> that the property would be filled 80 to 90 feet running north-south and <br /> about 70 feet running east-west. <br /> The Attorney stated that Mr. Layton, Mr. Hammond's attorney, has informed <br /> him that they would provide copies of insurance policies that would <br /> protect anyone from damage caused by the building of the house. <br /> Mrs. Nardini stated that she would like a letter for herself and Mr. Soldow <br /> giving them some protection from damages that might be caused by <br /> development of the Hammond property. <br /> Mr. Folz stated that at the time the permit for building is discussed, <br /> these matters should be considered. The Council is presently considering <br /> only the fill permit. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that on February 13, 1980 the Council approved <br /> the land fill permit subject to easements, and a hold harmless agreement <br /> doub9 aboutdthetdbainageAthatnhe woulde1ikeasometprotectionlguaranteedgh <br /> to the neighbors. <br /> The Attorney stated that the City Engineer must approve the fill plan <br /> and if the Engineer approves, there should be no drainage problems. If <br /> the Engineer can't approve the plan, no permit can be issued. The <br /> Attorney also stated that the City does not have the right to demand <br /> a hold harmless for anything that might occur. <br /> Mr. Folz stated that he would stake out where the fill would go and <br /> have the City Engineer take a look at this. <br /> Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> THEOIESTERLYOPORTION20F THEPHAMMOND PROPERTD SUBJECTRTOTTFOR <br /> FOLLOWING: 1.
