MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
September 8, 1980
However, it would be noted that these assessments are deferred until
the property is sold.
P1r. Krueger of 3025 Arcade Street appeared before the Council. Mr.
Krueger stated that his property was originally included in Improvement
No. 78-19 which was not approved. Now Mr. Krueger has received an
assessment notice for improvements under 78-18.
The Engineer reported that there is a watermain in front of the Krueger
property which looped from the Westwinds project.
P1r. Krueger stated that he feels he should not be assessed for the watermain
as there is no water stub and he does not have the capability to hook up
to water if he wanted.
Councilman De6ace stated that if the Council assessed Mr. Krueger for
the watermain the City would have to provide him with a stub and there
would be an additional assessment for putting in the stub.
The Engineer suggested that if water goes farther up Arcade Street
a stub could be installed at that time.
The City Clerk asked if Per. Krueger would be assessed at the same rate
that the Westwinds water project went in. The Engineer informed the
Council that the City put that project in at about $12.00 per foot versus
the $14.90 per foot for Improvement No. 78-18.
Councilman Fahey stated that perhaps the Krueger stub could be installed
when the City had another watermain project going in. Fahey suggested
that the City assess Krueger at the $14.90 rate and install the stub, or
assess Krueger later when the stub is put in.
Krueger was agreeable to the $14.90 rate if that price included the cost
of the stub.
Councilman Fahey pointed out that he is listed as one of the properties
being assessed for Improvement No. 78-18. Fahey stated that he already
has City water and that he was incorrectly included in this assessment
roll.
Fahey suggested that Mr. Krueger be assessed for the improvement and deferred
until the City installs a water stub to his property.
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 80-9-332 - CLOSING TFIE PUBLIC FIE:ARING
ON IMPROVEMENT N0. 78-18
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Flanson, Nadeau, DeBace.
Nayes (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 216.
Page -8-
