<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> September 10, 1980 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br /> Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, DeBace, Nadeau, Hanson. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 228. <br /> Approval Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> Of The <br /> Minutes RESOLUTION N0. 80-9-346 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF <br /> THE AUGUST 13, 1980 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau. <br /> ayes (5) Fahey, Nadeau, Hanson, DeBace, Scalze. <br /> Nayes (0 <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 228. <br /> 1980 The City Clerk reported that the Federal Government has not adopted the <br /> Revenue 1980 Revenue Sharing Program. If this program is not adopted by the <br /> Sharing City's budget meeting, which is scheduled for September 24, 1980, the <br /> City may not be able to use these funds in its budget. The Minnesota <br /> League also reported to the Clerk that the 1980 revenue sharing <br /> allocation may be cut by 15% over the 1979 amount. <br /> Mayor Hanson instructed the City Clerl< 'to contact the Minnesota.League <br /> to see what their feelings are about the City asking for an extension <br /> to adopt its 1981 budget. <br /> The Clerk further stated that it is his recommendation that any revenue <br /> sharing funds the City receives are used towards police protection. <br /> Tabling Mr. Paul Borg has appealed the City's denial of his request to rezone <br /> Borg his property from R-1 to R-2. Mayor Hanson asked the procedure the <br /> Rezoning Council would have to follow to reconsider the rezoning request. <br /> Appeal <br /> The City Planner, Mr. brad Nielson, reported that the Council could <br /> move to reconsider the rezoning. However, the motion would have to pass <br /> by a 4/5 vote of the Council. If the motion did not pass, the rezoning <br /> request could not be reconsidered until 6 months time had elapsed. <br /> As Mr. Borg had not yet arrived at the meeting, Council felt they should <br /> table this matter until he did arrive. <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-9-347 - TABLING TFIE PAUL BORG REZONING <br /> APPEAL UNTIL LATER IN THE MEETING <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br /> Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey> Hanson, DeBace, Nadeau. page -2- <br /> Nayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book Mo. 6, Page 229. <br /> <br />
