<br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> September 10, 19II0 <br /> Mr. 6jurstrom stated that he was not aware of problems on the premises <br /> of The Last Chance Saloon. Mr. Bjurstrom stated that he was willing to <br /> make a commitment to take care of any problems. <br /> Mayor Nanson informed Mr. 6jurstrom that the granting of a liquor license <br /> is a privilege and it will be his responsibility to protect the ownership <br /> of the license. Council also informed Mr. Bjurstrom that they definitely <br /> want a guard on the premises on Friday and Saturday evenings. Fahey <br /> also informed Mr. 6jurstrom that he would like a letter informing the <br /> Council of who the guard will be and his hours of duty. <br /> Mr. Bjurstrom asked if he demonstrated that there were no problems at <br /> The Last Chance Saloon after a trial period if the guard could be <br /> eliminated. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that the Council could consider this after a <br /> trial period of perhaps 1 year and three months, which would be after <br /> the summer months of 1981. <br /> Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-9-350 - TRANSFERRING THE JOSEPH SAAD <br /> LIQUOR LICENSE TO MR. JEROME R. BJURSTROM WITH THE FOLLOWING <br /> CONDITIONS PLACED ON THE LIQUOR LICENSE: THAT MR. 6JURSTROM <br /> HIRE A GUARD TO PATROL THE ESTABLISHMENT ON FRIDAY AND <br /> SATURDAY NIGHTS FROM 10 P.M. UNTIL 2 A.M., AND THAT MR. <br /> BJURSTROM ENSURE ALL PATRONS ARE OFF THE PREMISES BY 1:30 <br /> A.M. EACN NIGHT <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau. <br /> Ayes (5) Hanson, Nadeau, Scalze, Fahey. DeBace. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution book No. 6, Pages 230 and 231. <br /> Paul Mr. Paul Borg appeared before the Council requesting a reconsideration <br /> Borg of the rezoning of his property from R-1 to R-2 so that he could <br /> Rezoning construct a tri-plex on the property. <br /> Appeal <br /> The Planner informed the Council that they could reconsider 'the request <br /> by a motion that passed by a 4/5 vote of the Council. <br /> Councilman Fahey asked Mr. Borg what basis he felt he had for a reconsideration. <br /> Mr. Borg replied that Mr. DeLaurias has been operating a commercial <br /> business from his home which is zoned R-1, that he did not get the <br /> Planner's report on his request until three days after the Planning <br /> Commission meeting, and that he was never informed that he was on the <br /> agenda at the Planning Commission meeting. <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-9-351 - RECONSIDERING THE PAUL 60RG <br /> REQUEST FOR THE REZONING OF HIS PROPERTY FROM R-1 TO <br /> R- 2 <br /> Page -6- <br /> <br />
