MINUTES <br />City Council <br />January 7, 1981 <br />Park Mayor Hanson informed the Council that there are three vacancies to <br />Commission be filled on the Park Commission. Mr. Jim Morelan and Mr. Joseph <br />Flppointments Donovan have asked for reappointment to the Park Commission. There <br />are no other applicants for the Park Commission vacancies. <br />"!ayor Hanson stated that at this time Mr. Morelan and Mr. Donovan <br />should be appointed to the Park Commission and the matter of the <br />third vacancy will be taken up at a later date. <br />Mr. Forsberg suggested that the Park Commission members be compensated <br />at a rate of $10 per meeting rather than $10 per month. <br />Mr. Hanson introduced the fo7lowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLU7ION N0. 81-1-22 - APPOINTING MR. JIM MORELAN AND <br />MR. JOSEPH DONOVAPJ TO TFIE PARK COMMISSION EACN TO SERVE <br />Fl THREE-YEAR TERM <br />The foregoing resolution was du7y seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />Ayes (5) hianson, Forsberg, Nardini, Sca7ze, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0), <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 10. <br />Flppointment Mayor Hanson reported that the positions of Recreation Director and <br />Of Recreation <br />Dir <br />t <br />d the two Assistant D9rectors need Council appointment. The Recreation <br />ec <br />or an <br />Assist <br />t Association has recommended that Mr. Jim Morelan be appointed to <br />an <br />Director the position of Recreation <br />Assistant Recreation Direct Director and <br />or. Mr. James Prudhome be appointed <br />Hanson further informed the Council that Mrs. Jan Graczyk has resigned <br />as the other Assistant Recreation Director. The Recreation Department <br />is meeting tonight to consider who will fill this vacancy, Therefore, <br />the Recreation Department has requested that the Council not appoint <br />this position until Council has the Flssociation's recommendation. <br />Mayor Hanson questioned whether this position should be advertised. <br />Councilman Fahey felt it should not be advertised as the Council will <br />appoint whoever the P,ecreation Flssociation suggests. <br />Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-1-23 - APPOINTING MR. JAMES MORELAN <br />AS RECREFlTION DIRECTOR FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA FOR <br />THE YEAR 7987 AND APPOINTING MR.
