MiNUres <br />City Council <br />lanuary 7, 7gg1 <br />Appointment Mrs. Sca7ze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Of Nealth <br />Officer RESOLUTION N0. 81-1-8 - APPOTNTIMG DR. ThIOMFlS KEENAN <br />AS THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADFl`S I-IEALTH OFFICER FOR THE <br />YEAR 1981 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Nardini, Nanson, Fahey, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution dec7ared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 4. <br />Advertising Mayor Hanson reported that Mr. Carlus Espejo, the City's Health Inspector <br />For Health in 1980, does not wish reappointment to that position. Mr. Espejo has <br />Inspector informed the Mayor that he is too busy to continue in this capacity. <br />Position <br />Mayor Hanson suggested that perhaps the City should set a rate of <br />compensation for this position. <br />Councilman Fahey suggested that the Council advertise this position <br />and set a rate of compensation on a demand basis. Councilman Forsberg <br />suggested that the compensation be set at $10 per ca71. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIOPI N0. 81-1-9 - CALLING FOR TNE ADVERTISEMENT OF <br />THE HEALTH IPlSPECTOR POSITION WITH SALARY FpR THE POSITION <br />SET AT $10.00 PER CALL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Mardini. <br />qyes (5) Fahey, Nardini, Forsberg, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Reso7ution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Pages 4 and 5. <br />Building Councilman Forsberg reported to the Council that he has had complaints <br />Inspector regarding Mr. Squires', the City's building inspector, failing to make <br />inspections. The inspections P1r. Forsberg has heard about are on <br />residential homes. Forsberg expressed concern regarding the commercial <br />inspections and whether or not they were being done. <br />Mrs. Scalze suggested that perhaps the Council should discuss this with <br />Mr. Squires. <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that the area of building and inspections will be <br />her liaison function. Nardini informed the Council that she intends to <br />work closely with the inspectors and will be investigating inspection <br />procedures in the City and will make a report to the Council on what <br />she finds. <br />Council decided to appoint Mr. Squires building inspector until the <br />regular February Council meeting, at which time Mrs. Nardini will make <br />her report to the Council. <br />Page -4- <br />
