mzRU~~~s <br />City Council <br />March 71, 1981 <br />Water The Engineer reported that he has come up with an alternative plan <br />Improvement for the improvement of Rice Street by watermain. Engineer Carley <br />Rice Street suggested that County Road B-2 be eliminated past the high school <br />except to loop to St. Jude's. The Engineer also suggested going up <br />Park Street behind the trailer park instead of on Rice Street on that <br />sect9on. <br />Mr. Forsberg reported that Kellogg Nigh School is planing to hook up <br />to water from the Grantl Pre' East parking lot. <br />The Engineer also reported that Rosevi1le charges approximate1y $717.25 <br />to hook up to City water plus a$370.00 connection fee. There is also <br />a charge of about $2,100 to go under Rice Street. There is also a <br />charge for a permit fee. The City of F;osevil7e es~imates it would <br />cost about $4,000 total to hook up to their water. <br />Rosevil1e has indicated that they would not like more than five or s9x <br />water hook-ups from Little Canada, and these only on a temporary basis. <br />Otherwise, Roseville suggested they would build a watermain on Little <br />Canada's s9de of Rice Street. <br />The Engineer stated that if Little Canada insta1led a watermain on Rice <br />Street, it would be approximately the same cost as hooking up to Roseville's <br />main. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that he woulcl like to see the City's own system in on <br />R~ce Street. <br />The Engineer s'tated that he would bring in a report to the Council on this <br />and a hearing could be ca11eci for the end of April. The Engineer questioned <br />whether County Road B-2 shou1d be considered for water again. <br />Councilman Fahey stated that the peop1e could bring in their own petition <br />if they wanted water. <br />Mayor Hanson asked the Engineer to give the Counci1 a report at the first <br />meeting in April regarding the unwatered areas in Little Canada and a <br />hearing could be set for the end of April. <br />Pat Collova Mr. Pat Collova has requested a 7and fi77 permit from the City for his <br />Land Fill property located in the area of Country Drive. <br />Permit <br />The City Clerk reportecl that the property is lancl-locked. <br />Mrs. Sca7ze stated that Mr. Co1lova should obtain his own easement for access to <br />his property. <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-3-124 - DENYING THE L/~ND FILL PERMIT <br />REQUFSTED f3Y MR.
