MINUTES <br />City Council <br />M~rch 11> 19H1 <br />Flyes (5) Forsberg, Hanson, Fahey, Nardini, Scalze. <br />N~yes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 83. <br />Plumbing Mrs. Nardini stated that she would be coming in with revised fees for <br />Permit Fees all the City's various permits. <br />It is recommended at this time that the Council change the plumbing <br />perm~t fees for alterations and repairs and extensions in the amount <br />of $10 for the first $500 and/or fraction thereof. <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the following reso1ution and moved its adopt9on: <br />RESQLUTIOM N0. 81-3-725 - FlPPROVE PLUMBING PERMIT FEES FOR <br />FlLTERFlTIONS AN(J REPAIRS FlND EXTENSIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $10 <br />FOR TNE FIRS7 p500 FlND/OR FRACTION THEREOF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />I{yes (5) Forsberg, fahey, Hanson, Scalze, Plardini. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 83. <br />Day Care Mrs. NardSni informed the Council that the City's day care centers are <br />Centers inspected yearly by the Fire Marshall. <br />Mr. Forsberg commented that recommendations by the Fire Marshall not to <br />license a building for day care are not always taken. <br />Mrs. Nardini also stated that social workers inspect the centers yearly. <br />Attorney Parks d~d not feel the City had any 1iabi1ity for a day care <br />center if it was licensed after the City's fire Marshall recommended <br />the bui1ding not be licensed. <br />Sprinkler Mrs. Nardini reported that Mr. Frank Winieck~ and Mr. Bruce Rieden have <br />Systems offered to appear before the Council at the April 8 meeting and explain <br />the legalities involving sprink1er systems. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that the company submitting building plans must have <br />a certified engineer draw up the plans for a sprink1er system and inspect <br />the system. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that he was not in favor of the City doing yearly <br />inspections on sprinkler systems. This is not required under City code. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that the City would be accepting liability if it <br />began this practice. <br />Paqe -22- <br />
