MINUTES <br />City Council <br />April 8, 1981 <br />Mr. Hanson introduced the following reso1ution ancl moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-4-16II - APPROVING THE VFlCATION OF LFlKE <br />STREET FROM EFlST OF RUTH STREET TO THE RAILROAD TRACKS <br />IN CONNECTION WITH THE PUD AGREEMENT TO BE NEG07IATED <br />6ETWEEN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA AND MR. HUGHES Of <br />HUGhIES CONSTRUCTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Flanson, Fahey, Scalze, Forsberg. <br />Rayes (1) Nardini. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 111. <br />One of the members of the audience questioned whether the residents <br />had a chance to say that they were not in favor of the rezoning to <br />PUD R-2. The fact that this portion of Lake Street was vacated and <br />Mr. Demont was not granted a variance was also questioned. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that at the public hearing regarding the rezoning, <br />the residents of the area were given the opportunity to voice their <br />feelings. Fahey also pointed out that the portion of Lake Street <br />which was vacated did not lead anywhere, on1y extended from east of <br />Ruth Street to the railroad tracks. <br />Mrs. Scalze pointed out that the Planning Commission recommended the <br />approval of Mr. Hughes' proposal 6 to 0. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLU7ION N0. 81-n-169 - APPROVING THE R-2 PUD <br />AS PROPOSED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Hanson, Nardini, forsberg, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 111. <br />Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-4-170 -DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DRAFT A <br />PUD FlGREEMENT BASF.D ON THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLFlNNER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Dlardini. <br />qyes (5) Hanson, Nardini, Fahey, Forsberg, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 112, <br />The City Clerk stated that the Council should go on record as having <br />received a petition against the Hughes proposal for the development <br />of Ruth Street and requesting the property be rezoned to R-1. <br />Page -16- <br />
