MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Fl~ril 15, 19II1 <br />Mr. John Pelfa, a property owner in the area, asked the Council the uses <br />that were a1lowed under the B-3 zoning. <br />Mr. Fahey briefly out7ined the uses as limited neighborhood business <br />uses, auto-oriented uses, commercial or professional offices, public <br />utilities, real estate offices, shops, etc. Manufacturing is not <br />allowed under B-3 zoning. <br />Fahey also stated that under the B-3 zoning a. business property would have <br />to 6e at least 20,000 square feet in size. The properties under consideration <br />for the rezoning would not meet this 20,000 square fnot requirement. <br />Fahey also stated that under R-7 zoning there are certain home occupations <br />that are allowed. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its a~opt~on: <br />RESOLUTION N0. II1-~-1II1 - CLOSING THE PU6LIC HEFlRING OP! <br />TFIE PROPOSED REZONING OF LOTS 1 TEIROUGN 22, BLOCK 5, ANQ <br />LOTS 1 THROUGH 8, BLOCK 2., ROUMD LAKE ADDITION FROM B-3 <br />TO R-1 <br />1'he foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. 5calze. <br />qyes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Hanson, forsberg, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appaars in Resolution Book ~lo. 7> Page 11II. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduce~ the fol1owing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NQ. II1-4-182 - REZONING LOTS 1 THROUGH 22, BLOCK 5, <br />ROUND LAKE ADDITION AND LOTS 1 THROUGH 8, BLOCK 2, ROUND LFlKE <br />ADDITION FROM E-3, GENf_RFlL BUSINESS, TO R-1, SINGLE FAMILY <br />RFSIDENTIAL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />Flyes (5) Scalze, Forsberg, Nardini, Fahey, Hanson. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This reso7ution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 719. <br />Pub19c Mayor Hanson opened the public hear~ng on the proposed rezoning of <br />Fiearing Lots 1 through 30, Block 4, Bemis Fleights Addition, and vacated Sylvan <br />Rezoning (600 feet north of County Road B-2), vacated Sextant and vacated <br />Of Portion Transit from R-3, High Density Resitlential, ta P, Pub7ic District. <br />~f $ChpO~ <br />District Mrs. Scalze indicated that this property is owned by the School District. <br />Property <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that the property is nresently used by the 5chool <br />District as a field. <br />There was no one present wishing to speak on the proposed rezoning of <br />this property. <br />Page -2- <br />
