MINUTES <br />City Council <br />April 22, 1981 <br />Mrs. Plardini stated that the Watershed District would like to know <br />if the City feels there would be a problem with this development. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that if the development has any impact on drainage, <br />he would be opposed. Fahey suggested that the Engineer study the <br />proposal. <br />Mr. Flnderson, the property owner involved, stated that he had proposed <br />to only develop about 5 lots, but the City of Maplewood would like <br />more access in this area, and suggested he come back with a more <br />comprehensive plan for the development of the property. Mr. Anderson <br />also stated that they are thinking about asking Little Canada to <br />allow this development to hook up to Little Canada sewer and wa~er. <br />The City Clerk stated that the developer would construct the water line <br />and the developer would be reimbursed as people hooked up to it. <br />Mr. Fahey asked if the sewer line is large enough to accommodate th9s <br />development. The City Engineer replied that it was. <br />Mayor Hanson suggested that the Eng9neer study this input and report <br />back tn the Council. <br />Mr. fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLU7ION N0. 81-4-197 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO INFORM <br />THE CITY OF MAPLEWOOD THFlT TNE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA IS <br />CONCERNED WITH THE DRAINFlGE INTO LAKE GERVAIS AND WILL <br />RESERVE COMMENT ON THE MFlPLEWOOD SUBDIVISION PROPOSAL <br />UNTIL THE CITY OF MAPLEWOOD PROVIDES LITTLE CANADA WITH <br />THEIR ENGINEER'S DRAINAGf_ PLANS, A~lD AT THFlT TIME THE <br />COUNCIL WILL MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THF. <br />LITTLE CANADA ENGINEER WILL MAKE Fl STUDY OF THE PROPOSAL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />~yes (5) fahey, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze, Nanson. <br />Playes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 131. <br />Mrs. Scalze instructed the City Clerk to thank the City of Maplewood <br />for sending this proposal to the Council. <br />Park The City Engineer stated that he has a couple of alternatives for putting <br />Street Park Street in. Mr. Forsberg informed the Engineer that the on1y <br />Improvement a1ternative the Council agreed to consider was putting Park Street all <br />the way through to Demont. Mr. Forsberg asked the Engineer if the <br />easements for Park Street have been negotiated with Mr. Johnson and <br />Mr. Villeaux. <br />The Flttorney stated that he met with these gentlemen regarding the <br />easements.
