MINUTES <br />City Council <br />April 22, 1981 <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Mr. forsberg. <br />qyes (5) fahey, Forsberg, Hanson, Sca7ze, Nardini. <br />Nayes (0), <br />Ordinance declared adopted. <br />Increase The City Attorney informed the Council that the Gounty has proposed to <br />In Parking increase the parking fines that can be charged in Little Canada and <br />fines also to reinstate the late charge penalty. This proposal is contingent <br />upon the opinion received from the cities invo1ved and atso getting the <br />staff to administer the change. <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-4-203 - I~ICREASING TFIE PARKING FIDIES <br />THAT CAM BE CHARGED IN THE CI7Y AND REI~lSTFlTING THE <br />LATE CHARGE PENALTY AS QUTLINED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />Flyes (5) Forsberg, Nardini, Hanson, Scatze, Fahey. <br />Pla,yes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No.7, Page 136, <br />Trapping Mrs. Sca7ze stated that she would like the City Flttorney to research the <br />Ordinance various State Statutes that were mentioned tonight with regard to the <br />trapping ordinance. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that he was not against a trapping ordinance, but <br />would like to see something less stringent than was proposed at tonight's <br />meeting. <br />/dttorney Parks stated that he would be surprised to find that the State <br />Statutes preclude the City from passing a trapping ordinance. <br />Mayor Hanson stated that he did not feel the City's proposed ordinance <br />addressed trespassing and he would like to see an ordinance that requires <br />trappers to be registered by the City. <br />Fahey stated that people should be able to trap on their own land. <br />Fahey also felt hunting and trapping in Little Canada should be by <br />permit, unless you were doing so on your own property. Fahey stated <br />that he would like to see the DNR's model ordinance. <br />Jenny Flttorney Parks reported that Bill Stenger was paid $1,500 by the City <br />Costa for tha ditch easement on his property. Mrs. Costa was paid $600, <br />Matter but the City did some cleaning and grading of her property. Mr. Parks <br />stated that Mr. DeBace thought there was about $1,000 worth of work done <br />on the Costa property. <br />Page -20- <br />
