MINUTES
City Council
April 29, 1981
Old Little Mrs. Scalze informed the Counci1 that the Recreation Department has been
Canada trying to reach an agreement with the owner of the Little Canada Day
School Care Center for the use of his tennis court. This is a hiqhly used court.
The owner stated that if Little Canada maintains his lawn, that would
be adequate compensation for the use of the court. Otherwise, the
owner would like a fee of $50 per weel< for the use of the court.
Scalze reported that Jim Morelan feels it would cost the C,ity about
$25 per week for labor to maintain the lawn.
Mr. Forsberg asked about the City's liability in using this court. Mrs.
Scalze reported that she asked Mr. Mc~lamara this question at the last
Council meeting and he stated that it cou1d be covered under the City's
insurance with the name of the owner of the Day Care Center being added
to the City's policy.
P~rs. Nardini stated that the ~25 per week looked better than $50 per
week.
Mrs. Scalze felt that there should be total usage of the court b.y the
C9ty for this amount of money.
Mayor Hanson suggested that the owner of the Day Care Center should
come to the Council with a proposal.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:13 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
% ~~ '
~~, ~1~~_, ~ ;~~_-~.r ~~, 7 _...-/
rKa hl~~nzer/ ~~
Recording Secretary `
Page -10-
