Scalze informed Mr. Mi11er that the C9ty recently considered that <br />site as a possibi7ity for senior citizen hous~ng. However, there was <br />some neighborhood opposition to ~his pro~osal. <br />Mr. Fahey suggested that Lhe Council call for a pub1ic hearing on the <br />request and get neighborhood input to Mr. Miller's proposal. <br />Mr. M~71er informed the Council that the faci15ty would take care of <br />4B peop1e a11 of which would be non-ambulatory. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that he would 1ike a lot of information as to the <br />experience Mr. Miller has had with these types of facilities in other <br />neighborhoods. <br />Mr. Mi71er also informed the Counci1 that this would not be a non-profit <br />facility. It would pay taxes to the City. <br />Mrs. Scalze 9ntroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. II1-5-225 - CFlLLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR <br />JUPlE 10, 1981 ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF THE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED NORTH OF LITTLE CANADA ROAD AND EAST OF JACKSON <br />STREET FROM R-1 TO RB <br />The forego9ng resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />qyes (5) Sc~7ze, forsberg, Hanson, Fahey, Nardini. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />7his resolution appears 9n Resolut9on Book No. 7, Page 171. <br />Sofie Mr. Hanson reporteci to the Council that Messrs. Sofie, Peterson, and <br />Peterson Bloomquist would like to know the CSty's plans as far as street grid <br />Bloomquist layout for the property Zn the area of Payne Avenue, <br />Proposed <br />Subdivision Mr. Forsberg stated that he asked the Engineer to give the Counci7 a <br />street grid layout and the Council was given an outda~ed one, Forsberg <br />asked that the Engineer lay out a street grid system for the area that <br />will fit today's needs. Forsberg stated that the system should lnclude <br />everything that shou7d and could be done, and the City can elim9nate <br />what ~t ~oes not want. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following reso1ution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0.
