MINUTES <br />C9ty Council <br />June 10, 1981 <br />Hanson suggested that the no parking signs be placed from the corner <br />of Dianna Lane and County Road B-?_, but not so far as to prohibit the <br />park~ng of the residents of Dianna Lane. <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adopt9on: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-6-291 - ORDERING TFIE INSTALLATION OF NO <br />ARKING SIGNS ON BOTH SIDES OF DIAN~A LANE FROM COUNTY <br />ROFlD B-2 TO THF.. EDGE OF THE FIRST PROPERTY LINE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />qyes (5) Forsberg, Hanson, Fahey, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />7his resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 218. <br />Post P4rs. Sca7ze reported that the Schoo1 District has requested that a gate <br />Qarriers be instal7ed at the south end of the upper parking lot in Spooner Park. <br />In The Park Commission has a quotation from L& Z Company for such a gate <br />Spooner in the amount of $820.00. <br />Park <br /> Councilman Forsberg sta~ted that he thought the School District has just <br /> requested that the present gate be moved to the south end of the parking <br /> lot, and not that an additional gate was requested. <br /> Mrs. Scalze stated that she was not sure what the reason was for ~he <br /> additiona1 gate, and that she wou1~ discuss thfs with Jim Marelan to <br /> determine the reasoning. <br /> Mrs. Scalze then reported tha~ Paul Borg of the School District is not <br /> satisfied with the location of the post barriers in Spooner Park, Mr. <br /> Borg has requested that they be relocated. <br /> Mr. Fahey stated that he would like to take a look at the lease that ~he <br /> City has with the School District for Spooner Park, Councilman Forsberg <br /> commented that anything the City does in Spooner Park must be approved <br /> by the School District. <br /> Mr. Forsberg commented that he did not feel Spooner Park was receiving <br /> much use from Little Canada residents. Mrs. Sca1ze stated that Spooner <br /> Park is welt used during the week. <br /> Scalze also informed the Council that it will cost an addi~ional $700 <br /> to re1ocate the post barriers in the park. <br /> Mr. Forsberg commented tha~ there was a 1ack of communication on the <br /> location of this pos~ barrier. Mayor Hanson sugges~ed that a71 part9es <br /> involved should meet on the site to determine exactly where the Schoo1 <br /> District wants the post barriers. <br />Page -15- <br />
