MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 8~ 1981 <br />a~k~~so~v~ <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seco~ded by Mr. ~'ahey: <br />Ayes (4) Eahey.,~ Hanson, F'orsberg, Scalze <br />Nayes (O) <br />Abstaininq (1 ) Nardini <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 246. <br />BIKEWAY Mayor Hanson opened the hearing purpuant to the Improvement of <br />Edgerton Street from Little Canada Road to County Road D by <br />construction of a bikeway trail system by Ramsey County. <br />Ms. Wayne Leonard, Ramsey County Director of Public Works, <br />explained the plans and the fu~ding for the proposed bikeway <br />system. <br />Ms. Devich, 2800 Edgerton, stated his concern regarding his <br />property. <br />Mr. Herkenhoff, 2965 Edgerton, questioned the amount of culverts <br />that would have to be removed. <br />Mr. Forsberg, 2905 Edgerton, is concerned with the possible <br />drainage problem. He requested maintenance on the ditches and <br />culverts so the water can flow. <br />Mr. Spooner, 2914 Edgerton, is concerned about what will happen <br />to the mail boxes, and he would also like improvement oF the <br />ditches . <br />Ms. French 2988 Edgerton, would like a detailed drainage plan <br />and a guarantee as to the drainage system. He sugqested that <br />the County take a different route. <br />Mr. Rada, 2817 Edgerton would like an idea of what is qoing to <br />happen in front of his property. Y.e is very much in favor of <br />the bike path. <br />Mr. Spooner questioned if this improvement would be done this <br />year or next year. <br />Mr. Leonard is very doubtful that there will be any construction <br />this year. He explained the plans in regards to the replacement <br />of the culverts and improvement of ditches. <br />A discussion followed between the Council and Representatives <br />from the County in regard to the maintenance of ditches. The <br />speed limit on Edgerton was also discussed. <br />Page 5 <br />
