MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 8, 1981 <br />SIRENS The Council di~scussed the proposed siren locations for the City of <br />Little Canada and the estimated cost for the total system. <br />N1r. Forsberg reported that the North Star Trailer Park has been <br />notified to raise two of their hydrants 12 inches and to turn <br />several others so that the nozzle faces the street. They have <br />been qiven 30 days to make the repairs or the City will do this <br />work and bill them. <br />ATTORNEY The P.U.D. Agreements issued at the last meeting were discussed. <br />Mr. Forsberg requested the Building Inspector to check on the <br />new duplexes and fourplexes being built on Ruth Street. <br />Mr.. Parks presented an amendment to the liquor license providing <br />for the increase in fees. <br />Mr. E'orsberg introduced the following Ordinance No. 174 and moved <br />its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 174 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 703.030 <br />LICENSE FEES~ BY INCREASING THG FGES FOR "O~ SALE" LICENSES <br />AND PROVIDING FOR FEE INCREASES BY COUNCIL RESOLUTION. <br />The foregoing Ordinance was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Grdinance declared adopted. . <br />Mr. Parks reviewed with the Council a new law deferring assess- <br />ments for disabled persons with a hardship. <br />Mr. Farks reported that the ditch by Jennie Costa is being <br />cleared and that Mr. Stenger will put curb up to keep water <br />out of her yard within 60 days. <br />ENGINEER A short discussion was held on the drainage of Gervais-Spoon <br />Channel. <br />The Council reviewed a new flood plain map. ~s. Nielsen informed <br />the Council that the City is required to adopt a flood plain <br />ordinance to be eligible for flood plain insurance. Public <br />hearings are to be held on the location of the flood plain areas. <br />Ms. Hanson stated these hearings will be held some time in Sept. <br />CHAMBER OF Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />COMMERCE adoption: . <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-7-345 - SENDING DUES TO SUBURBAN ARGA <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. <br />Page 9 <br />
