MINUTF.S <br />City Council <br />September 30, 1981 <br />Mr. Nanson introduced the fo1lowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-9-53q - APPROVING TFIE REGREATIOM <br />PORTION OF THE 1982 PROPOSED CITY BUDGET IP! TFIE <br />AMOUNT OF $36,780.00 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />qyes (4) Flanson, Nardini, Forsberg, Scalze. <br />Nayes (1) Fahey. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 353. <br />Tree It was the concensus of the Council to cut $2,000 from the Other <br />Budget Contractura.l Services portion of the Tree Budget. <br />Mr. hlanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTI0~1 N0. 81-9-535 - APPROVING TFIE TREE PORTIOPI Of TFIE <br />982 PROPOSED CIT BUDGE7 IN THE AMOUNT Of $13,050.00 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />qyes (5) Hanson, Scalze, forsberg, Fahey, Nardini. <br />Nayes (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 354. <br />Nistorical Mayor Hanson informed the Council that the Historical Society is <br />Society planning to erect a memorial to the early settlers in Little Canada <br />in St. John's Cemetery. They would like to know if the City is in <br />a position to make a donation for this monument, Mayor Hanson <br />stated that he did not know if the City would incur some liability <br />for donating money for sornething that is not on City property. <br />Hanson also informed the Council that the dedication ceremoney would <br />6e held on October 18 at 1 P,M. <br />Mr. fahey stated that he did not feel the City should donate money <br />for this monument as it is not on public property. <br />Mr. Forsberg suggested that the Ffistorical Society contact the Lyons <br />for donations. <br />Youth Service Mayor Hanson statecl that the Youth Service Bureau has sent out information <br />Bureau that they have people available for employment. The ~ureau will pick <br />up half of the minimum wage of the salary paid to these people. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that he felt the Youth Service Bureau was doing a <br />good job for the citizens of Little Canada that it has serviced. <br />Mr. fahey felt that the money budgeted for the Youth Service Bureau <br />should be approved. Fahey stated that they provide help to people <br />who cannot otherwise afford it. <br />Page -25- <br />
