MINU7ES
City Council
October 7, 1981
Mrs. Scalze introduced the fallowing resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-572 - LEVYING THE ACCRUED INTEREST ON THE
R YMOMD 6ERGLUND DEFERRED ASSESSMENT, THE RICHARD EAGAN DEFERRED
ASSESSMENT, THE WILLIAM EAGAN DEFERRED ASSESSMENT, THE RAYMOND
EAGAN DEFERRED FlSSESSMENT, THE WM. DOHMEN DEFERRED ASSESSMENT
AND THE SAUVFlGEAU DEFERRED ASSESSMENT BEGINNING OCTOBER 16, 1981
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini.
qyes (5) Hanson, Nardini, Scalze, Fahey, Forsberg.
Nayes (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 374.
Mayor Hanson reported that Mr. Berglund has his property listed for sale
with a real estate agent. The property is zoned general business. Mayor
Hanson asked if the Council shou1d provide Mr. Berglund with a letter
stating that the deferrment will continue as long as the property is not
sold to a business.
Mr. Fahey stated that the property is not sold yet and Mr. Berglund
could change the listing to increase the purchase price of the house
to include the deferred assessment. Mr. Fahey suggested that perhaps
the property owners in the area should petition to have their property
rezoned to residential.
Mr. Berglund indicated that he had a tentative sale of his house,
however, the person that was to buy the house was informed by the
City that the house was a non-conforming use on the property, and
therefore, no improvements could be made to the house.
The Flttorney stated that this was not true, that the Council could
grant a conditional use permit for such a purpose.
Mr. Berglund stated that the commercial zoning was not worth any more
to him and he would rather his property were zoned residential.
Mr. Eagan stated that he would just as soon leave the property zoned
commercial.
Wm. Dohmen Mr. William Dohman will be making application for a senior citizen
Assessment assessment deferrment.
Deferrment
Mr. Hanson irrtroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-573 - APPROVING A SENIOR CITIZEN
DEFERRMENT FOR MR.
