MINUTES <br />City Council <br />October 28, 1981 <br />Mrs. Sca1ze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-641 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER <br />TO ESTABLISH THE LOCATION OF THE BUILDING IN QUESTION ON <br />THE GAGNE PROPERTY TO THE EXTENT THAT HE CAN WITHOUT <br />TRESPASSING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Flyes (5? Scalze, Fahey, Hanson, Nardini, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 415. <br />Awarding The Engineer reported that the City received eight bids on Improvement <br />Bids No. 81-5 through 81-11. The high bid was in the amount of $695,000 <br />Imp. No. and the low bid was from Julian M. Johnson Construction Company in the <br />81-5 Thru amou nt of $589,012.05. The low bid is about 18% under the estimate <br />81-11 made in the Engineer's feasibility report. <br />The Engineer recommended that the low bid be awarded. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-642 - AWARDING TFIE BID FOR IMPROVEMENT <br />N. 81-5 THROUGH 81-11 IN THE AMOUNT OF $589,012.05 TO THE <br />JULIAN M. JOHNSON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Flyes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Flanson, Fahey> Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 416. <br />Awarding <br />Park The Engineer reported that the City received 11 bids on the Park Street <br />Street improvement. The high bid was in the amount of $166,000 and the low <br />Bid bid was rece9ved from Deluxe Construction Company in the amount of <br />$130,135.70. The 1ow bid is about 13% lower than was estimated in the <br />Engineer's feasibility report. <br />The Engineer recommended that the low bid be awarded. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIQN N0. E31-10-643 - AWARDING THE BID FOR PARK <br />STREET IMPROVEMENT TO DELUXE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $130,135.70 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconcled by Mrs. Nardini. <br />qyes (5) Sca7ze, Nardini, Flanson, Forsberg, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0).
