MINUTES <br />City Counci7 <br />October 28, 1981 <br />Granada The Engineer reported that the ditch in the 6ranada Homes matter has <br />Flomes been staked out and work was started on it today. The work shou1d be <br />completed this week. <br />Mrs. Scalze asked if there would be pipes or open ditches in the whole <br />area. The Engineer stated that there would be pipes. 7he Engineer <br />also stated that ther~e is storm sewer following the county ditch and <br />the City has easements for the county ditch. The Engineer also stated <br />that when the Payne Avenue-Allen Flvenue area developes, the City will <br />get easements right away. <br />The City Clerk stated that a hearing has been set for November 25 on the <br />Flynn proposal. The Planner stated that Mr. Flynn has not submitted an <br />adequate preliminary plat. The Planner suggested that Mr. ~lynn be called <br />and informed of the action the Counci7 took on the street grid for the <br />area. <br />Mrs. Nardini asked if Mr. Flynn's proposal would be reviewEd by the <br />P7anning Commission. The Clerk stated that it would at the meeting <br />scheduled for November 5. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that he was not in favor of the City putting in streets <br />for one developer. Mrs. Nardini agreed. Nardini stated that this was <br />made evident to Mr. Flynn. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that drainage for the area cannot be piecemealed in. <br />The Planner commented that the drainage issue would be reviewed as a <br />part of the p1at. <br />hlallgren Mrs. Nardini inquired if the Hallgren water stub would be included as <br />Water a part of the water projects upcoming in the City. The Engineer replied <br />Stub that it would. The Engineer also indicated that the four stubs on Arcade <br />Street are also included. <br />Schletty The City Clerk reported that no permit application has been taken out <br />Land for the filling that was planned for a lot on Schletty Drive. <br />Filling <br />Ryan Mrs. Nardini asked about the status of the letter to Mr. Ryan regarding <br />Assessment the assessment on his property. The Engineer replied that he would take <br /> care of this. <br />Tax Mayor Hanson reported that there is a piece of tax forfieted property <br />Forfieted near Ryan Drive that the City has an option on picking up. The property <br />Property is 1andlocked and is a11 swamp. <br />P~r. ~ahey suggested that the City pick it up and hold it as a wetland. <br />Page -20- <br />
