MINUTES <br />City Council <br />November 25, 19~1 <br />Request To Craig Rylander and Dick Dinndorf have requested Council permission to <br />Trap On trap on City prdperty <br />City <br />Property Mr. Forsberg stated that as representatives of the taxpayers in Little <br /> Canada, he d id not believe the Council should approve this request. <br /> Forsberg also did not feel the Council should put the City in a position <br /> of accepting liability because of trapping on City property. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that he agreed with Mr. Forsberg. Fahey commented that <br />there are a lot of people in Little Canada against trapping and some for <br />trapping, but he was not prepared to offend the people against trapping <br />by approving this request. <br />Mrs. Nardini agreed that there were many people in Little Canada strongly <br />againsttrapping. <br />Mrs. Sca1ze introduced the following resolution and moved its a~option: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-11-660 - DENYING THE REQUEST TO TRAP <br />ON CITY PROPERTY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />qyes (5) Scalze, Forsberg, Nardini, Hanson, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page A29. <br />Mueller Mr. Mueller appeared before.the Council requesting that a public hearing <br />Industrial be called for consideration of approval of industrial revenue bonds for <br />R.evenue the development of a business to be located on the south side of County <br />Bonds Road B. <br />Mrs. ~lardini questioned if the Council would ever be in a pos~tion to <br />not approve a request for industrial revenue bonds as the Council felt <br />the proposed business would compete with existing businesses? <br />Mr. Hanson stated that the City has supported industrial revenue bonds <br />for competing businesses and the Council has never taken this position <br />in the past. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the fol1owing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION M0. 81-11-661 - CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING <br />ON DECEMBER 23, 1981 AT 7:30 P.M. ON TNE PROPOSAL FOR A <br />COMMERCIFlL FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT PRQJECT PURSUANT TO THE <br />MINNESOTA MUNTCIPAL INDUSTRTAL DEVELOPMENT ACT AUTHORIZING <br />THE PUBLICATION OF A NOTICE OF S~ID HEARIDIG <br />The foregoing reso1ution was duly seconded by Mrs. ~!ardini. <br />qyes (5) Fahey, Nardini, Hanson, Forsberg, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7> Pages 430 and 431. <br />Page -3- <br />
