r~zr~urEs <br />City Counc9l <br />December ~, 1981 <br />The Engineer indicated that he has not calcu1ated his bills on this <br />subject. The Flttor•ney stated that he has submittecl everything except <br />for about $150. <br />The Flttorney stated that the bank would be sending the City a draft <br />for the full amount of the 1etter of credit. The City should be <br />receiving this in the next several days. <br />The Attorney a1so stated that the Trobec's would like $25 to replace <br />the seed they lost as a resu1t of the installation of the swail. The <br />Attorney told the Counci7 he informed the Trobec's that this is a <br />private matter between them and. Granada Homes. Granada Flomes indicated <br />that they would settle with the Trobec's on this matter. <br />P~r. Fahey expressed concern that when the Payne Avenue plat was approved <br />that the drainage issue of the surrounding properties was not addressed. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that in the future the Engineer should comment on <br />the drainage of surrounding properties on all new developments. <br />The Engineer informed the Council that the Payne Avenue P1at was filed <br />about 10 or 17_ years ago. <br />Mr. Forsberg commented that he wanted this subject addressed a long time <br />ago. Fahey replied that he did not remember anyone bringing up this <br />subject when this area was discussed with the Council. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIOM NQ. 81-12-683 - DECLARING THFlT THE COUNCIL <br />ISSUE A STANDING ORDER TO THE CITY ENGINEER THA7 6JHEN <br />HF TS REQUESTFD TO REVIEW THE DRAINAGE ISSUE ON A NEW <br />DEVELOPMEPIT TFIAT THAT REQUEST WTLL INCLUQE A RE(~UEST <br />FOR THE ENGINEFR'S COMMEDITS FlND RECOP~MENDATIONS OM THE <br />DRAI AGE NOT ONLY FOR TNE DEVELOPMENT BUT ALSO THE <br />EFFECT ON THE SURROUNDING QR FlDJACEN7 PROPERTIES FlND <br />RECOMMENDFlTIONS FOR CORRECTING ANY DRAINFlfE PR06LEMS ON <br />THE SURROUNDING PROPERTIES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Plardini, <br />Flyes (5) Fahey, Nardini, Forsberg, hfanson, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book ~lo. 7, Page 466. <br />The Engineer showed the Council a p1at from the City of Maplewood where <br />house elevations are set and back yard elevations are set. <br />The Gity Clerk reviewed his records and determined that the City does <br />not have easements for 10 lots. The Clerk stated that he has easements <br />for Garske's Lots 13, 1~} and 15. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that Granada Homes woulcl have to get together with <br />the City Flttorney and C9ty Clerk to review these easements. <br />Page -4- <br />
