tSINUTES <br />City Council <br />December 23~ 1981 <br />Councilpersons Nardini and Scalze £elt that there may be additional <br />applicarrts to the ones N1r. Fahey mentioned that should be considered. <br />Nir. Forsberg stated that he recoimnends Clayton Parks for the City <br />Attorney position, <br />Mr. Hanson introduced the fo:llowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />HESUliUTION N0. 81-12-714 - REJECTING ALL APPLICANTS FOR <br />THE CITY ATTORNEY POSITION Wt'PH THE EXCLPTION OF TH~ <br />APYLICATION SUBMITTED BY CLAYTON PARKS <br />The £oregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg, <br />Ayes (2) Hanson, I'orsberg. <br />Nayes (3) Nardini, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Resolution denied. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7~ Page 1~85. <br />Mr. Hanson stated that it looks as though the Council has no intentions <br />of interviewing the present City Attorney. Mr, Fahey replied that he <br />saw no point in interviewing the present City Attorney as all the <br />Councilmembers know NIr. Parks and the work he has done. <br />Mr. Fahey suggested that if the other Cowacilpersons have firms that <br />they would lik~ interviewed on January 6th, they shou].d let him know <br />before the 30th o£ December and he will write a letter to them inviting <br />them in £or an interview, <br />i~ir. Hanson informed the Council that at the January bth workshop session <br />he would 'like to review some of the charges the Planner is submitting <br />to the City. <br />Mrs. Scalze commented that she feels there is no problem with the Council <br />asking questions from time to time, <br />Mrs. Scalze antroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />ftE:SOLUTiON N0. S1-12-715 .. p~CLARING THAT THr, CITY COUIVCIL <br />W'tLL INTERVIEW TH~ FIRMS OF SWEENY-O~CONNOR & LE MAY, <br />GRANNIS-GRANNIS-CAMPBELL & FARRELL ANll MOORE-COS'PELLO & HART <br />AT A WORKSHOP SESSION ON JANUARY 6~ 1982 AND IF COUNCI]~MEMBERS <br />CONIE UP WITH ANY AllDITIONAL FTRNLS THEY WISH TO BL; INTEI~VIEWED~ <br />MR. FAHEY SHOULD F3E NOTIFIED BY DECEMBER 30, 1981 SO THAT THI;SE <br />FIHMS CAN BE NOTIFIED TO ATTEND THE JANUAHY 6, 1982 WORKSHOP <br />SESSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini, <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Nardini~ 1~'ahey~ Forsberg, Hanson. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 485. <br />Fahey commented that it may be possible to a~,point the City Attorney <br />position at the January Council meeting for civil work and a£ter February <br />for cximinal work. <br />Page -.18- <br />
