MINUTES City Council January 27, 1982 Vandalism ~r, Hanson reported that the vandalism situation in the City is quite Situation severe. Hanson informed the Council that there are several neighborhood In 'Phe meetings being organized at which wa.ll be a presentation from the City Sherif£~s Department with regard to this problem. F'ahey suggested that if something could be put in the appropriate format~ perhaps it should be included in the next sewer billing. Snow Mrs. Nardini asked the City~s policy for tagging snow bird cars. Bird Cars Mrs. Nardini was informed that the City has an ordinance handling this. Nardini suggested that the SheriPf~s Department be notifa.ed to en~'orce this ordinanee, Mayor Aanson stated that he would do this. Yolice Mrs. Narda.ni asked if the City ever considered contracting with Hoseville Protection or Naplewood for police protection. Mrs. Sca:lze cormnented that she was not in favor of this. The Clerk stated that this was considered a few years ago, but the cost appeared to be higher th~n the cost charged by the Ramsey County Sherif£~s Department, Forsberg commented that the Sheriff~s llepartment provides a lot of services in addition to just having cars patrol the City. F3ranch Mrs, Nardini commented that there will be a lot of branch rubbish in Rubbish the City and asked how this will be handled if the dumpster will not taice this. NIr. Forsberg commented that the Utility Department has a couple of alternatives £or handling this. Forsberg stated that he will get this information to Y~Irs. Nardini, Nirs. N~rdini suggested that perhaps Little Canada could get together with a couple oi' other cities and have a burning day, Mayors~ Nir.
