ri1NUTE5 <br />Caty Gouncil <br />Jaxmary 27, lytS~ <br />Turnquist ~~x, (;1en Turnquist appeared before the Council requesting perrrussion <br />Fishing to hold a fishing contest on Lake Gez•vais on February ~. The County <br />Contest has already granted permission to Mr. Turnquzst for the contest. <br />Ms'S.Scalze introduced the t'ollowing resoLution and moved its adoption: <br />R~:SOLUTION N0, 82-1-42 - AYPRpVING THE TURN~IUIST FISHING <br />CONTEST TO BE HELD ON LAKE GERVAIS ON F'EBRUARY 7~ 1982 <br />PROUIDED MR. TURNQUTST UISYLAYS TO THE COUNTY NECESSARY <br />INSURANCE COVERAGE AND MAKES PROVISION FUR SATELLITES <br />AT THE ~'VENT <br />The fos°egoi.ng resolution was duly seconded by Mr. F'orsberg. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, F'orsberg, Fahey, Nardini~ Hanson. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 8, Pages 22 and 23, <br />MGM Mayor Hanson reported to the Council that Viking Partnership is <br />requesting a property division of some property on Minnesota Street, <br />The Planner and the City Clerk are o£ the feeling that the property <br />shouJ.d be replatted. Viking Partnership believes all that is necessary <br />is a property division. <br />Mr. Norman $rody o£ Viking Yartnership appeared be£ore the Council <br />and explained to the Council the property that they are purchasing. <br />Mrs. Nardini in£ormed the Council that in previous discussion with <br />the City Clerk the Clerk brought up the possibility that due to the <br />traffic situation in this area an additional road should be put in <br />and a traf£ic light ixistalled on NLi.nnesota Avenue. <br />i`4r. Rocky Waite commented that he did not believe this would improve <br />the traffic situation in the area. <br />Mr. Fahey commented that the City Engineer shou:td take a look at this. <br />The Planner commented that he does not have very good in£ormation on <br />the topography of the area and could not say whether a road in the <br />area would be possible, The Planner stated that this would be a <br />crit9.cal point that should be resolved. <br />Mr. Brody informed the Council that Viking Partnership will replat <br />the property i£ necessary. Mr. Brody requested that the Council call <br />for a public hearin~ for consideration of industrial revenue bonds <br />for this project. Brody requested the hearing for February 24. Brody <br />commented that the project will ~enerate 45 to 50 new jobs in Little <br />Canada. <br />Page -3- <br />
