M1ivUTES OF `1'HE WORKSHOP SESSION <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />liITTLE CANADA, NiINNliSOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a woxkshop sessio~i of the <br />Council of the City of Little Canada, Niinnesota was held on the <br />3rd day of February, 1982 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 5~5 Little Canada Road in said City, <br />kebruary 3, 1982 <br />The Mayor~ Mr, Raymond Hanson~ called the meeting to order at <br />7:ltS Y,M. and the tollorring were present at roll ca1l; <br />M~3EN5 YRESENT: <br />Mayor <br />Councilman <br />Councilwoman <br />Councilwoman <br />i~ir. 1?mymond Hanson <br />Mr. llennis Forsbexg <br />Mrs. Isiugs Nardinl <br />Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO YRLSENT: <br />City Clerk <br />Consulting ~ineex <br />Yublic Work Supt. <br />Recording Secretary <br />1~lEMF3P;It5 Af3SLNT: Councilman <br />yir. Donald Carley <br />Mr. Ito~er Glanzer <br />Mrs, Kathleen G7.anzer <br />Mr, Michael Faney <br />Fire Niayor Iianson reported that tne City received a letter i'rom Nlr, Locke <br />iviarshall outlining his qualifications £or the Clty~s Fire Marshall posltion. <br />Yosition Hanson pointed out to the Council that the City nas budgeted yi150 <br />per montn as compensation for this position. <br />Nirs. Nardini asked the Council if' tney i'e1t Locke~s qua~.ix'icatlons <br />were satis£actory Yor the posztion. <br />Mx. Hanson commented that Locke is certix'ied ny the State. Hanson <br />suggested tnat the Council could appoint liocke as Fire Marsnalt S'or <br />a s1x month perlod wa.th a review after tnat time. <br />Nlrs. Scalze sCatea tnat sne i'elt Locke was 'tue best persox! i'or tne <br />Job. <br />Forsberg commented that the Council hired Locke as Building Inspector <br />i'or 20 hours per weex, P'orsberg statea that i+ir. Locke has very iittxe <br />exNerzence and is a brand new inspector, iyr. Locxe is very excited <br />about tue Building Inspector posiGion, r'orsberg a1.so commented that <br />Mr. Locxe mentioned to him that he is intereated in £ull«time employment, <br />i~layor Hanson stated that if it was agxeeable with the Gouncil the City <br />Clerk shoul.d. ca11 Mr, Locke anci offer him the Fire Nlarsha:ll position <br />at $150 per month, `1'he position would be reviewed in six months on the <br />same basis the Building Inspector positioraw4:11 be reviewed.
