MINUTES <br />c9.ty courxo~.l <br />April ].4, 1982 <br />Ed Drops <br />Easement <br />(Cont.) <br />Gagne <br />Natter <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 1.3 <br />Mrs. Idardini pointed out that Mr. Glasrud does not own most of the <br />property anymore. <br />The Engineer commented that the Homeownexs Associata.ons would have <br />to be assessed> <br />The Attorney stated th2~t the correspondence in the agenda regarding <br />the Gagne matter shouJ.d be self-explanatory. <br />Fi.scal The Attorney informed the Counci7. that the anformation in the agenda. <br />Disparities on fiscal disparities is seJ,f-explanatory and for the Council~s <br />in£oz~nation. <br />Agenda <br />I'tET(1 ~Os ~..3 <br />Junk <br />Agenda The Attorney reported tRat the Co~ci7, has the power to abate and <br />Item No. 13 a~sess the cost of c],eaning up someone~s yard against the property. <br />Mr. Sweeney reported that the City's ordinAnce on this is adequate <br />and just a matter of enforcement. <br />Mrs. Nardini suggested that the Co~cil set a policy whereby the <br />Code Lnforcement Officer could handle these types of situations. <br />Nardini asked if the Council fe],t the Code ~n£oxcement O.fficer could <br />initially send a letter on these types of situations and any further <br />action wou7.d be the responsibi7.ity of the Cpuncil. <br />Mr. Forsberg felt that nothing should be done un],ess there 3s a <br />specific complaint. <br />some people wou].dtgetCbyybecause the:irrneighborsewou].denottcomplainelt <br />Mr, Fahey commented that the City cannot close its eyes to these <br />situations. Fehey commented that a property owner was recently in <br />and complained that it is the Co~cil~s job to take care of these <br />situations and this should not be left up to the neighbors. <br />Mr. Hanson stated that he was not opposed to a notice on junk and <br />abandoned vehicles, <br />Mrs. Nardini corrunented that Mr. Locke is making it a policy of taking <br />di£ferent routes throughout the City looking for these situations, <br />Mr, Forsberg £elt that the Building Inspector should be a friend to <br />the people and tlae Counci.l was setting up a dicta.torshipm <br />Page ..15,~ <br />
