The Clerk replied that a.t can, <br />i`Qr, Fahey asked how an empty lot is dif£erent from a trailer park, <br />Glanzer stated that the trailer park has water available within a <br />day, while on a empty lot water is not available until a building <br />is bui.lt. <br />Mr. ~'orsberg asked how an apartment is considered that has switched <br />to condominaums. Glanzer replied that it is still charged the apartment <br />rate, <br />Mr, Glanzer repor.ted that the Co~ci1 has elected to go by the Netro <br />SAC units, <br />iYirs. Sealze commented that she did not £eel the City could charge a <br />trai,ler park any d3fferently than a home that is hooked up to water. <br />~xe Graczyk commented that the apartments wanted waters but Terrace <br />Heights did not want it. <br />Nir. Villeaux stated tha~ water was brought in for the industrial areas <br />oP the City and not to force people to hook up, Villeaux stated that <br />this a.s what is happening. Villeawc commented that he granted an easement <br />for watermain to run through the trailer parks but does not feel he <br />should have to pay for it. Villeawc asked if the water maintenance <br />charge could be put on future water hook-ups. <br />Mr. Forsberg asked what the changes are that a.re being considered for <br />next year. iir. Glanzer replied that the department wi11 propose that <br />sewer will be charged by water usage, The maintenance for the systems <br />will be charged as a service charge, The charge will consist oi' hal£ <br />sewer maintenance costs and half water maintenance costs, <br />Mrs, Nardini asked if the Utility Department feels thi.s can be done <br />because of the number of hookbups that will be added. Mr, Glanzer <br />replied that thas year it is borderli.nes and next year he hoped it <br />coul.d be done for that reason, <br />Mrs. Nardini asked if the $6.00 charge could 'be scraped for this year. <br />Glanzer replied th$t if this were done the water department would be <br />in the red, <br />Mr. Hanson asked how sewer will be charged if people are not hooked <br />up to water.
