MINUTES <br />Ci.ty Counci.l. <br />June 23, 1982 <br />Kroiss tir. Pahey stated that he would l.i.ke to matce sure that the City <br />Plat (Cont.) would have no problems wi.th Lot I.. Pahey suggested that per.haps <br />the City should have a buildin~ plan before Che Ci.ty approves Lot l. <br />Mrs. Scal.ce asked how the City could protect i.tself: with regard to <br />Lot l.. <br />Mr. ICroiss commented that in oCher. cit:i.es the I~ui.ldi.ng Inspector Looks <br />aC Lhese thi.ngs. <br />P4r. Forsber.p, aslced if p~.il.ings would be necessary on Lot L Mr. <br />Kroi.ss replied that they woutd not be necessary. Kroiss also indicated <br />thaC he would li.lce to buiLd a single family home on this lot this fall. <br />P1r. Pahey stated that the Council. would have to malce sure Chat all <br />Che engineering was covered on th:i.s lot before ~;ranting f::inal. approval. <br />Mr. Pahey asked if the Council had the right. to deny a f.ill permi.t <br />once i.t has aZ~proved a Lot. <br />The Engineer commented that from Che way Mr. Kroi.ss explai.ned what <br />he was goin~; to do with Lot l, he i.s goin~ to buil.d a house Co fit <br />the lot. <br />Kroiss aslced if the Council would approve the plat wi.t:h 70 feet of. <br />f.ronCa~;e on Lot 4. hr.~. Scalze, Mr. I'ahey and Mr. Porsberg indicated <br />that they would not be in favor of this. Porsber.g commented that there <br />is no hardship present. <br />Kr.oi.ss indicated Chat t~ao owners of the wall could be a hardship. <br />Mrs. Nardi.ni. asked the Planner whaC his recommendation was with regard <br />to the 101- lines. The Planner replied that he had su~gested ~1r. Kroiss <br />strai.ghCen ouC some lot li.nes and Mr. Kroiss has done this. <br />Mr.s. Scalze pointed out to Mr. Kroiss that the way his plaC is set up <br />the wall cuts across three different pi.eces of: property anyway. <br />Kro:iss repl.i.ed that he would like to eli.mi.naCe part of the proUlem if <br />he can. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that she does not see iC the same cvay Kroiss does, <br />and Scalze further. stated Chat she has not granted vari.ances unl.ess <br />they meeC the City Code. <br />Mrs. Scal-c,e aLso stated that she da.d not thi.nlc Che Ci.ty could le,n,ally <br />restrict Lot 1 to a certain buil.di.n~; plan. Pahey replied thaC the C:i.ty <br />mighC be aUle to say that no builcling permit wi11 be issued unless <br />the City has a sat:isf:actory gradi.ng., ptan. I~ahey commented that he ~oould <br />li.ke some restri.cti.on on Lot 1. <br />Mr. Hanson su~;gested that the Council tabte the maCter unti.l Mr. Kroiss <br />comes baclc with a r.evi.sed plan. <br />Mr. I<r.oiss stated that he would go aLong with Che comments made by the <br />Council with regard to the street fr.ontage f:or Lot 4 and the f.act that <br />Page -~r <br />
