MINUT~S City Council August 11, 1982 Cable TV Mrs. Nardini aslced what is ~oin~ on with Cable TV. The City Attorney repl:ied that he 1.ias received the first draft of the franchise Non-Agenda ordinance. This has been distributed to all the cities involved. Item No. 2 Canad:ian Days Mr. Porsberp, stated that he would l.ike to thanl< llan Hanneman for the article he ~orote on Canadian Days. Non-Agenda Item No. 3 rorsberg stated that he would also like to thank those involved in putting up the li~hts in Spooner Parlc. Porsberg commented that the lights were donated by Slcelly Oil, but the many hours f.or putting up the lights were al.so donated. Mr.. Ilanson commented that there was no expense to the City whatsoever for the lighting. Mr. Porsberg commented that Lhere is now a permanent place for power in the park. Transfer Of P4r. l~lanson commented that recentl.y the Little Canada SnowmobiLe C1ub Pund to donated $500 towards the construction of a power pole in the Park. Canadian Days In view of the fact that the materials were donated for this and the labor also was donat ed~ Mr. Aanson r.ecommended that the ~500 be Non-Agenda removed Er.om escrow and that the R500 be p,iven to Canadian Days. Item No. 4 Mr. Tahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adopti.on: RI:SOLUTION NO< H2-8-416 - TRANSPERRING $SOC FROM ESCROW TO THE CANADIAN ISAYS COMMITTBE POR TIIE PIJRPOSES Or APPLYING IT TOWARDS GLPCTRICAL WORK DONE IN TtIP PARK The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nard'zni.
