Strimling, raised the concern of the hours of operation that a <br />game room can have. Str:imling pointed out that his game room will <br />have the same hours as the Market Place, but when there are special <br />promo[i.ons on the hours couLd change. Stri.mling also pointed out <br />that there are busi.nesses with machines that are open well after <br />the curf.ew for the machi.nes. <br />P1r. klanson suggested that perhaps the City Attorney should revieco <br />the ordinance. <br />Mr. Strimli.ng stated that the City's ordiriance has some strong <br />langua~;e on revocation of a license. <br />Mr< Fahey suggested that the City Clerk could handle the matter and <br />~;et some sample ordinances f.rom other cities and the fees that they <br />charge. After the City Counci.l reviews these, they can give the <br />Attorney di.rection. <br />Noise Control The City Cterk reported that the Ci.ty can acquire noise control moni.- <br />Monitoring toring equi.pment alonp, with four or five other cities. The total <br />Equipment cost of the equi.pment would be $1,200 to be di.vided among all the <br />cities. The Clerlc pointed out that the City has a noise ordinance, <br />Agenda but no caay of enforcing it without this equipment. <br />Item No. 15 <br />The Clerlc reported that the City has received complaints on noise. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that if the City's ordinance has a decible level, <br />perhaps the City should consider the purchase. <br />Mr. Forsberg i.nformed the Council that at closing time Che other night <br />at tloggsbreath there were a Lot of problems. A1r. Forsberg felt that <br />Che people in the trai.ler court have jusCifiable complainY.s. <br />Mr. Pahey stated that at a cost oE $300 it i.s a good investment for the <br />City. <br />Mr. Hanson asked who would own the equipment. The Clerk r.eplied that <br />the purchasing cities would~ but the Sherif:f's Department ~vouLd <br />handle it. <br />Mr. Fahey commen[ed that the people in the traiLer court have rights, <br />and the City has not done a good job of protecting them. <br />Page -8- <br />
