MINUT~S <br />City Council <br />Nov. 15, 19~2 <br />Vi.k~i.ng The Pl.anner. commented that he felt that the elevation of the property <br />Partnership could be gr.ounds Lor a vari.ance. Under the ordinance the pylon on <br />Signs (ConC.) Minnesota could only be 16 feet high. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that the pylon could be seen east and west. <br />Mr. ~rody stated that there :i.s at least a 10 to 15 f9ut drop in <br />elevation f.rom Rice Street to Minnesota. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that she ciid not agree with the request. ~rs. <br />Scalze stated that the Mall can noC be viewed from all streets. <br />The Planner stated Chat under the ordinance the pylon on Viki.ng <br />Drive could consist of 200 square feet. <br />Mr. Pahey sCated that he thoughC the Ci.ty was trying to accommodate <br />the developers as much as possible. <br />t4rs. Scalze pointed out that the P9a11 has a Lot of avertising with <br />Cub located right across the street. <br />Mr. ~rody aslced if the Council would be receptive to averaging <br />out the sizes of the two pylons. <br />Mr. Flanson staT.ed that he would Lilce the Planner's imput. <br />Mrs. Nardini sCated that this was another request on the part of <br />Vilcing Partner.ship. Mr. Brody r.eplied that. i.t was di.scussed at <br />a Planning Commi.ssion meeti.ng. <br />Mr. tianson suggested that Mr. Brody come in to the Council with another <br />request. <br />Pina1 Note Mrs. Nardini r.eported that Mr. Lee is complying coi[h the request of <br />Resolution the City in accordance with the Planner's report. Mrs. Nardi.ni. <br />Stoneri<ige staled that the ~ui.ldin~ Inspector and Planner were satisfied with <br />Assoc. the progress.
