Glanzer replied that the City's budget estimates the amount <br />ot water that wi.l.l be u,ed .i.n a given year.. Zf the City estimated <br />i.ncorrectLy, i.t could come up short of. ftmct,. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that she felt people wiChout water available <br />should also be payi.ng f,or the City Garage. Scalze stated that the <br />cost of the bond should come f.rom [he General rund. <br />Mr. Pahey suggested that next year the City shoutd plan on assessi.n.p, <br />this cost=. Mr. GLanzer staCed that a porti.on of the total expense <br />of the ~ar.age should be pai.d by the General. Pund because the City's <br />water system i.s not complete. <br />Mr. Forsber.g stated that people wi.thout water avail.able do not want <br />to pay this cost. <br />Mr. Glanzer sY.ated that= the Counci.l made a commitment Co the community <br />to bui.l.cl a water system anct this is just one of the things that goes <br />along wi.th that. commitment. <br />Mrs. Nardini aslced the Council to read page ?7 of the r.eport. A <br />porti.on of thi_s page deals wi.th the el~imination of the Senior <br />ci.ti.zen credit. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated [hat he was not wi.lli.ng to change the senior <br />citizen cr.edit. <br />Mrs. Nardini. pointed out [hat the City has apartments and mobilehomes <br />on reduced rates. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that he can see the rational. for chargi.ng everyone <br />a portion oL the Ci.ty Garage through the General t'und< <br />Mr. Glanzer reported Chat the City has 750 water kioolc-ups and 1,300 <br />sewer hoolc-ups. <br />Mr, Forsberg stated that most people got water by petition anct some <br />people do not want it. <br />Mr. Pahey stated that i.f the City went Uy that :i.t ~voulcl never have <br />any i.mprovements. <br />Mrs. Scal.ze aslced why the C~ity Garage princi.ple and i.nterest was <br />separated i.^ half between the sewer and water budgets.
