feet in height. <br /> <br />C. R-C, Residential Commercial District: <br /> <br />1. Permitted Signs. Wall or freestanding signs are permitted subject to the following <br />regulations: <br />(a) Only one business sign shall be erected on the subject property. <br />(b) Such signs shall not more than eighteen (18) square feet in total area, <br />(c) Such signs shall be no greater than six (6) feet in height. <br /> <br />D. C-1 and C-2 Districts, I-1 and I-2 Districts, and P Public District: <br /> <br />1. Permitted Signs. Wall or freestanding signs are permitted subject to the following <br />regulations: <br />(a) Except in the case of comprehensive sign plans as described below in this <br />section, each parcel is allowed up to two signs, with no more than one being a <br />freestanding sign. Both signs may be wall signs. <br />(b) Corner lots may utilize one wall sign per street frontage plus one freestanding <br />sign <br />(c) The city may determine that commercial buildings that front on both public and <br />private streets may qualify as corner lots for the purposes of this Section. <br />(d) The total area of all visible sign faces, both wall and freestanding, shall be <br />calculated as 15 percent of the gross silhouette area of the front of the building. <br />Where the principal building is on a corner or through lot and thus faces two <br />public streets, both sides may be counted. <br />2. Comprehensive Sign Plan. In the case of a shopping center or where there are two or <br />more business uses located within one structure or on one property, the approval of a <br />Comprehensive Sign Plan shall be required for the entire complex in accordance with <br />an overall site plan indicating the size, location and height of all signs. <br />(a) The Comprehensive Sign Plan shall be approved administratively, provided the <br />plan meets all sizes, location, and other standards of this Chapter and any <br />applicable Architectural Guidelines applicable to the district in which the sign <br />would be located. <br />(b) The total area of all wall signs shall be calculated as fifteen percent (15%) of <br />the gross silhouette area of the front of the building. Where the principal <br />building is on a corner or through lot and thus faces two public streets, both <br />sides may be counted. <br />(c) Each tenant is allowed one (1) wall sign, except tenants in suites with multiple <br />street frontages, who may have one wall sign per frontage. <br />(d) The city may determine that commercial buildings/suites that front on both <br />public and private streets may qualify as corner lots for the purposes of this <br />Section. <br />(e) Each parcel is allowed one (1) freestanding sign subject to the size and height <br />regulations in 916.070.
