<br />Little Canada City Code 827-8 <br /> <br />827.170 Temporary Cannabis Events. <br />A. Purpose. The purpose of this Article is to regulate temporary cannabis events permitted by the <br />State of Minnesota. These regulations are intended to ensure that temporary cannabis events in <br />Little Canada protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community, and that events are <br />following both local and state regulations throughout their duration. <br />B. Administrative License. No person shall use his or her property or assist, countenance or allow <br />the use of his or her property, or of another’s property, located within the City of Little Canada <br />for any form of temporary cannabis event without first having obtained a license from the public <br />safety director or designee(s). <br />C. Application. An application for a license must be filed with the City of Little Canada. Said <br />application shall include the following information: <br />1. A narrative description of the event including the name of the event and proposed location; <br />2. A list of all activities to take place at the event; <br />3. The name of the sponsoring entity/or main contact person, along with their address, email, <br />and phone number; <br />4. The proposed date and time of the event together with the beginning and ending times for <br />each date; <br />5. A list of the name, number , and type of cannabis businesses and hemp businesses that will <br />sell cannabis plants , adult-use cannabis flower, and adult-use cannabis products, at the <br />event; <br />6. A diagram of the physical layout of the temporary cannabis event showing where the event <br />will take place on the grounds, all entrances and exits that will be used by participants during <br />the event, all cannabis consumption areas, all cannabis retail areas where cannabis flower, <br />cannabis products, lower-potency hemp edibles, and hemp-derived consumer products will <br />be sold, the location where cannabis waste will be stored, and any location where cannabis <br />flower, cannabis products, lower-potency hemp edibles, and hemp-derived consumer <br />products will be stored; <br />7. Location of any barricades, street route plans, or perimeter/security fencing; <br />8. The estimated number of event staff, participants, and sponsors; <br />9. Any other information deemed necessary to ensure the safety, health, and welfare of the <br />people and lands surrounding the proposed temporary cannabis event. <br />D. Event Requirements. In order to be approved, an applicant must demonstrate the following items <br />will be successfully handled over the course of the temporary cannabis event: <br />1. Security. The cannabis event organizer must hire or contract for licensed security personnel to <br />provide security services at the cannabis event in compliance with the provisions of MN <br />Statute 342.40(3) as may be amended. <br />2. Limited and Controlled Access. The cannabis event organizer shall ensure that access to the <br />event is limited to individuals who are at least 21 years of age and maintain compliance with <br />MN Statute 342.40(4) as may be amended <br />3. Clean Up. The cannabis event organizer shall ensure that all used, unused, and waste cannabis
