MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 13, 2024 <br />complaints about the reduced hours, other than not matching the permanent hours posted online. She <br />stated that staff now proposes to make the temporary change permanent. <br />Mayor Fischer commented that he did have a few people contact him over the last few months related <br />to the half day closure and whether staff is being paid for time not worked. He stated that he reassured <br />residents that people were still working, the lobby simply was not open. He asked that the <br />communication be clear that staff are still working, but that half day is being used to focus on their <br />tasks rather than manning the lobby. D. Miller noted that there is also an issue of safety if there are <br />only one or two employees in the office and the lobby is open. <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-11-133 — PERMANENTLY CHANGING THE PUBLIC LOBBY <br />HO URS A T LITTLE CANADA CITY HALL FROM MONDA Y THRO UGH FRIDA Y 8: 00 <br />A.M. TO 4:30 P.M. TO MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 8: 00 A.M. TO 4:30 P.M. AND <br />8: 00 A.M. TO 12: 00 P.M. ON FRIDAYS. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by D. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS AND MEETING UPDATES <br />D. Miller provided an update on a recent tour of the Northeast Youth and Family Services facility to <br />learn about the new domestic violence and sexual assault program. <br />Kwapick stated that next Wednesday, November 20, the Roseville Area School District will be holding <br />a community meeting related to safety initiatives. <br />Gutierrez provided an update on the most recent meeting for the Fire Relief Association. <br />Mayor Fischer provided an update on the most recent meeting of the Regional Council of Mayors <br />which focused on housing. He stated that he and the Community Relations Manager attended the flag <br />retirement at the Mayfield on Veterans Day, which was led by Girl Scouts. <br />ADJOURN <br />There being no further business, upon motion by Mayor Fischer, seconded by Kwapick, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 8:52 p.m. <br />ez <br />homas Fischer, Mayor <br />Att t. <br />stopher Heineman, City Administrator <br />rel <br />
