LYnployee The members of the Counc.il discussed with the City Attorney the legality <br />of having a full-time employee for the City who is also working part- <br />time for the Recreation Department. It was Mr. Sweeney's opinion that <br />an employee is only allowed to work 48 hours without receiving overtime <br />pay. <br />Since the City Council has not yet adopted a personnel policy, this <br />matter was tabled until the personnel ordinance was considered. Mr. <br />~ahey will check with the Personnel Directors of other cities on <br />their policy. <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-4-160 - TABLING THE MATTER OF <br />THR I'ULL-TIME $MPLOYPli I~IAVItJG F~ PART-TIn9E POSSTION <br />FOR T490 WPEKS. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 9, Page 172. <br />Senior Nirs. Scalze recommended that the building for the senior citizens should <br />Citizen be situated on the property for the possibility of adding a wing on in <br />Housing the future. The requirements would come from the City and not from HUD. <br />The possibility should be explored. Mr. John LeMay was asked to inves- <br />tigate the situation. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the f.ollowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 83-4-161 - INSTRUCTING JOHN LEMAY <br />TO INVESTIGAT~ THE PO5SIBILITY OF LEAVING A SPOT <br />FOR FUTURE ADDITION ON THE SITE OF THB SENIOR <br />CITI2EN HOUSING BY CONFERRING WITH THE BUILDING <br />INSPECTOR FOR POSSIBILITIES AND BY CONF~RRING <br />WITH THE f9ESTMINSTER CORP. WITHOUT HOLDING UP <br />THE PROJECT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 9, Page 173. <br />Copier Mr. Chlebeck discussed with the Council the quotations for a copy <br />machine for the City Center. Mr. Fahey instructed Mr. Chlebeck to <br />brinq in a Ricoh and a Canon for a week trial basis. A decision <br />will then be made at the next meeting. <br />Securities Mr. Fahey introduced the followinq resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 83-4-162 - APPROVING SGCURITIP:,S <br />FOR INVESTMENTS BY THE FIRST BANK STATE. <br />Page 8 <br />
