MINU'SES <br />Council Meeting <br />June 22, 1983 <br />Murphy Mr. Tim Murphy, 2756 Keller Parkway, appeared before the Council <br />Water Skiing requesting a water skiing course on Gervais Lake. <br />Course <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the followinq resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-6-262 - APPROVING THE <br />WATER SKIING COURSE ON LAKE GERVAIS. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg, Scalze and Nardini. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 9, Page 302. <br />Brinkman Mr. Craig Merrill,Attorney from New Hope, appeared before the <br />PUD Agreement Council representing Mr. Joseph Brinkman, owner of the building <br />Liquor at 433 Little Canada Road. <br />License <br />Handicap Mr. Merrill explained that a letter was written to Mr. Locke, <br />Ramp City Building Inspector, in March of this year asking to be advised <br /> of the State Statute concerning handicap entrance, and to this <br /> date no one has told him exactly why this entrance is required. <br /> He also stated that Mr. Brinkman was not necessarily s aying he <br /> will not install the ramp, but there is a question of finding the <br /> considerable arnount of funds. He was also advised tha t a criminal <br /> complaint is being drafted.aqainst Mr. Brinkman by the City. <br /> Mr. Merrill also commented that he could find nothing in the law <br /> to unreasonably revoke the liquor license when he has not violated <br /> any liquor laws. He has never seen anything in black and white <br /> pertaining to this matter. <br />The question is the reissuance of the liquor display license, and <br />he requested a legitimate reason for denying the license. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that the City has four sets of documents pertaining <br />to this issue that are'~.an!•b:lack~:a~rid~:-whii~.e: <br />1. State Building Code <br />2. Uniform Building Code <br />3. State Regulations <br />4. Minnesota State Statutes <br />Mr. Fahey read the Minnesota Handicap Ordinance. He suggested <br />that the Council, Mr. Sweeney and Mr. Locke meet privately with <br />Mr. Merrill. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />Page 4 <br />
