MINUTrS <br />City Council <br />Oct. 26, 1.9~3 <br />Marlcet Place Srelliclc staCed that he is trying to malce access to the ~tarlcet Pl.ace <br />(Cont.) more convenient for shoppers. Stelli.clc statec! that he rel:ied on the <br />f.act that the Building Inspector approved the plans. <br />Mrs. Nard:i.ni. stated that the I3ui.lding Inspector di<1 not shut the <br />jo>> down earlier because he di.d noC know about it. <br />Mr. Stelliclc requested that a solution be worked out and indicated <br />that 40% of. the curbi.ng has 1>een poure<i. StelLi.clc stated that to <br />his lcnowledge the project conf.orms to the UBC and i.s designed to <br />State specifi.cation. ~1r. Licht stated that i.t must meet Ci.ty <br />ordinances. <br />Mrs. Nardini pointed out the tact ChaC there will be backing out <br />onto a street. rahey pointed out that green area has been removed. <br />T9r. Porsberg stated that about one-third of: Che area has not been <br />eouched. <br />Mr. I.~i.cht »ointed out that the shopping center benefited by allowing <br />the street Co remain pri.vate. <br />Mr. I{anson felt that the Council should approve the project. 1{anson <br />stated that any developer. coming in to the City should get a list o[ <br />procedures to follow. The Clerk pointed out that a publ.ic hearing <br />will be necessary. <br />Pahey asked if the City could approve without the puUli.c hearing. <br />Mrs. Nardini. scated that she felt the green area that was removed <br />should be r.eplaced somewhere on the si.te, Mr. Ste].lick did not <br />feel there was an area to malce a green area that would be of any <br />benefit. Stellick staCed that Chey would li.lce to clevelop some of <br />the property on the southern end of the par.lcing LoC, <br />The Attorney stated that the City can allow Mr. Stel.lictc to pr.oceed <br />aC his own risk and the City can go ahead on the conditional use <br />per.mi.t process. The heari.ng would be held on November 11.. The <br />Attorney stated that he does not lm o~v the result of recording <br />the condit:ional use permit. <br />Mr. Hanson stated that he wi.ll support Che project. Pahey stated <br />that he would tooe <br />Mrs. Diardini poi.nted out that the drainageissue has not been addressed, <br />Scalze felt it was too late to address draina~e, Scalze stated that <br />she did not litce the parking spaces nearest Snyders. Scal.ze £elt <br />that they ~aere a hazar.d as they were so close to the corner. <br />It caas suggested that a stop sign be installed at the corner.
