MEF.,TING <br />The toregoing resoluti.on ~aas duly seconded by Mr. Pahey. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini., Fahey~ Hanson, Forsbery„ Scal.ze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution }~oolc No. 11, Pa~e 103. <br />Mayor Francis Fog,erty of the City of Blaine appeared before the <br />Council. Playor ]?ogerty was ,eelcing the support of Little Canada <br />for the location of a horse racin~ facili.ty in the City of Blaine. <br />Agenda Mr. Pogerty informed the Council that I3laine has a lot of suitable <br />Item No. 4 land for this faciLi.ty and informed the Council that the City has <br />designated 689 acr.es for the site. Also a devetoper has been <br />secured tor the race tr.aclc. The proposed name of the track is <br />Mi_nnesota Meadows. <br />Mr. Po~erty pointed out that 35W runs through the City and is only <br />at 57_% ot its capacity. Therefore, there ~aould be no problem with <br />access to the track. There i.s also sewer anct water to the si.te. <br />The City of Illaine had to rezone some of the property and the property <br />around the site is zoned commercial and industrial. <br />Page -1- <br />
