D. Additional Conditions <br />In permitting a new Conditional or Interim Use or the alteration of an existing Conditional <br />or Interim Use, the City Council may impose, in addition to these standards and <br />requirements expressly specified by this ordinance, additional conditions that the Council <br />considers necessary to protect the best interest of the surrounding area or community as a <br />whole. These conditions may include but are not limited to: <br />1. Increasing the required lot size or yard dimension. <br />2. Limiting the height, size or location of buildings. <br />3. Controlling the location and number of vehicle access points. <br />4. Increasing the street width. <br />5. Increasing the number of required off street parking spaces. <br />6. Limiting the number, size, location or lighting of signs. <br />7. Requiring additional fencing, screening, landscaping or other facilities to protect <br />adjacent or nearby property. <br />8. Designating sites for open space. <br /> <br />E. City Staff Review and Recommendation <br />The Community Development Director is authorized to review and provide <br />recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council in accordance with the <br />procedures and standards of this Chapter. At the discretion of the Community <br />Development Director, the Development Review Committee may provide advice on <br />Conditional or Interim Use Permits. <br /> <br />F. Planning Commission <br />The Planning Commission shall adopt findings and recommendations for the City Council <br />on the proposed Conditional or Interim Use Permit. <br />G. City Council <br />The City Council shall hold a public hearing on the Conditional or Interim Use Permit. <br />After considering the Planning Commission recommendation, the City Council may adopt <br />the Conditional or Interim Use Permit or any part thereof in such form as it deems <br />appropriate. Approval of a conditional use permit shall require a majority vote of the City <br />Council. <br />The Council shall consider the request(s) in light of the conditional or interim use review <br />criteria listed above, and render a decision. In approving a conditional use, the City <br />Council may impose conditions on the approval as are deemed appropriate to ensure <br />compliance with the approval and to protect adjacent properties.
