Pahey asked the impact of thi.s. <br />PSr. Glanzer commented that the County has already spent gas tax <br />money on County Road fl-2 and, theref.ore, could not turn it over <br />to the Ci.ty. <br />T4rs. Scalze pointed out that the I.aw mip,ht be chan~ed to a11ow <br />for more gas tax money on roads< Scalze asked if. the County wants <br />to tur.n over roads to the City before this 1aw is changed so that <br />i.t caill not have to turn over as high a percentage of gas tax <br />money as well. <br />The Gity Clerlc stated that the Ci.ty gets about $140,000 per year in <br />P7SA funds and these funds can only be used on MSA streets. The <br />ci.ty i.s comi.ng to r.he end of MSA roads to use the money and it couLd <br />be thaC i.n a couple of years the City could i.mprovement Demont <br />wi.thout any assessments. <br />I'ahey suggested tha[ the City might be better. off not acting until <br />the Legi.slature has acted on the gas tax matter. <br />@1r.
